As we look ahead into 2023, we anticipate a few projects to improve not only the aesthetics but ensure a functioning, well-managed, and secure precinct. While the Florida Road UIP team still places a significant focus on cleaning, greening, and maintenance, special projects take place to deal with additional tasks in the precinct.
Revamping of the landmark tram shelter
The tram shelter which is situated at the upper end of Florida Road will be paved with high-quality slabbing. The shelter frame and roof will also be repainted.
Installation of a basketball hoop
Some great news for the visitors and residents in the area as the new basketball hoop will be installed in Gordon Road Park for all to enjoy.
Additional paint upgrades
Our team will be painting sidewalk benches, bus shelters, and meter boxes. New pebbles will be added to our tree bowls.
The above-listed special projects were approved in principle, subject to further approval by the FRUIP board with other planned projects.
