Operation Good Hope kicked off on Florida Road this week. After a briefing with various municipal departments and ward 27 Councillor Mr. Ernest Smith, operations to tackle various tasks and gather stats of existing faults in the area began. All issues have a long and short-term plan.
DSW teams did a great job picking litter along the service lanes and tributary roads of Florida Road and Morningside. The Business License Department and Fire Department went door to door checking restaurants and ensuring compliance. The Parks Department carried out work in the area and the Parks and Stormwater Department have begun tarring certain areas within the precinct. The operation is also taking place in Umgeni Road and aims to ensure these areas are well-taken care of.
