The Tree of Light is a very special fundraising event for the Highway Hospice and an opportunity for people to remember those loved ones lost too soon! The event has been taking place since 1992 in Durban.

The ceremony will be taking place in:

Venue: Jameson Park (opposite Mitchell Park)

Date: Friday 7th December

Time: 6pm

The ceremony begins with a Christmas theme supplied by the dedicated volunteer musicians. There are also food stalls available and a couple of tents up for shelter just in case. People in attendance are encouraged to buy a candle and light it on the night.

The actual lighting of the tree takes place at 7.45pm (weather permitting) when over 9,000 globes light up with a soft radiance. The tree will shine throughout December. If you would like to remember a loved one for this special event a donation of R60.00 per globe is required.
