On Monday morning the 20th of August, quick thinking by Sidewalk Monitor Bafana Sikhakhane led to the arrest of a suspect following a break-in at a residential unit at the corner of Florida Rd and Lambert Rd. Around 9:30 Bafana saw an individual exiting the building via a first-floor window, Bafana then gave chase and managed to arrest the suspect further down Florida Rd. The individual was detained until SAPS Berea arrived to follow protocol with the suspect. Bafana has been rewarded for his actions.
