The Cleansing and Solid Waste Unit would like inform eThekwini Municipality residents that the landfill and garden sites that were closed during level 5 lockdown will be opened from the 04 May 2020. The operating times of the sites are as follows:
Waste Facility Operating Times
Buffelsdraai Landfill 07.00 to 17.00 – Normal Permit Times
Lovu Landfill 07.00 to 16.30 – Normal Permit Times
Bisasar Landfill 07.00 to 15.30
Mariannhill Landfill 07.00 to 15.30
Shallcross Garden Site 07.00 to 15.30
All Garden Drop Off Sites 07.00 to 15.30
However, should there be any changes the unit will communicate accordingly. Residents are once again reminded to double bag waste that is generated by people who are in quarantine or infected with COVID 19, to minimise the risk of infection during collection.
