Great work by Florida Rd UIP senior security officer Alex Mbambo and Sidewalk Monitor Sbonelo Mthembu who were both rewarded for their actions in arresting a suspect following a theft of a lawnmower this morning.
Whilst on patrol this morning Alex was alerted by a member of public who reported seeing a suspicious individual pushing a lawnmower down one of the service lanes parallel to Florida Rd. Alex requested assistance from Sbonelo and they managed to track down and arrest the suspect who was on Stamford Hill Rd. SAPS were contacted and they managed to track down the owner of the lawnmower and return it to him. A huge thanks to everyone involved – read more about how the UIP operates.
